M.Y  L.O.S.T  D.R.E.S.S
Happy weekend my lovelies, I guess we are all counting down, to Christmas – twelve days to go! How is everyone doing? I am glad it’s that time again when I hang out with ‘you all’ as my Houstonian friends would say. It’s been one hectic week for me as I concluded the first step in my upcoming Fashion Show on May 6th, 2016! Yes, that’s the Awareness Fashion Show I was hinting about last week. The information flyer is up on the blog now. Look out! the full details will usher us in to the new year.

My other challenge this week was extracting a tooth at the dentist’s. He tried so hard over the past few years to save it but a last, he had to let it go, sadly. I’m not sure who felt the loss more, him or me! They don’t like pulling them these days because it means one less reason for you to go back and spend for more ‘dental work!’ Hahaha!

Did you pay attention to the title of this post my friends? Don’t you simply love my dress? My lowest point this past week is what happened to that dress! After I finished the photo session with that dress, I changed into my last outfit and hung the dress on the hook behind the door in a restroom stall in the mall (the photo shoot was in the mall). You need to visit me on set to understand how chaotic and hectic these shoots can become., it is not all about taking pictures. The photographer is on the clock and he wants me to change and appear like magic for the next session in like two seconds! I love him though because he takes wonderful shots. Did you see the quality of these photos and our new label? Liz my intern was overwhelmed because she was working all alone (I usually schedule two for any photo session but the second one called in  sick so I asked her to take the day off). Liz forgot to retrieve the dress from the restroom and when she ran back half an hour later, the dress was gone. The poor girl was so distressed but I told her it was okay. I made a mental note never to do a shoot again without at least two interns working with me.

I would really like that dress back because it is so beautiful and I’ve never even wore it before the shoot! The funny thing is that I don’t even remember the designer, because I found it at some corner boutique down town that carries many different brands.  I loved the dress the moment I set my eyes on it, the gaping cleavage, the short skirt length that allows me show off my knee high boots, the warm long sleeves with the fancy open zipper at the wrist, and did you see the back of it? This is just a dress to die for!

The fabric on the outside has the usual seasonal cotton flannel look and feel but the inside surface is engineered different creating a warm fuzzy fleece look and feel that keeps the skin warm. I decided to rock this dress like a teenager with a backpack, knee length boots and socks. I couldn't wear it without the knee length boots though because of the short length of the ‘flared’ Remember the ‘flare’ makes a short dress appears and feel even shorter.

I bought the last of this dress and if you ever see someone wearing the dress will you alert me? Seriously! Hahaha. But I am moving on. On a more serious note, if anyone knows who made this dress I would like to know so I can replace it. That would be really nice, thank you.

My makeup is dark, warm and seasonal, and my other accessories – saucy felt hat and chic sun glasses are OMG sick!

Remember………..too blesses!d to stress

What’s going on people? It’s the end of the week again, which means time for me to hang out with My KV blog readers again. It has been an unbelievably hectic week for me. We all know what the season is right now. Everybody running around trying to reign in all our ‘open projects’ before the end of the year, getting ready for Christmas, thinking about the new year and the new resolutions we want to make. I thought about taking a few days off and going away for Christmas but that was just wishful thinking because right now my plate is not just full but it’s overflowing with projects! Have you ever felt like you bit off more than you can chew? Well you are not alone because that’s what yours truly has done as well.

Listen Up…………a little birdie whispered to me that KV is putting something big together and it will be unveiled shortly. Sssssshhhhhh! Do you want to know what it’s all about? I bet you do! But you have to be just a little patient as we all wait for the great awakening of this Coming Event by the KV Blog...  It will be fun as you have never known it I promise. But enough said. Make sure you don’t miss any of the fun. Stay connected to the blog for a great ride!
So back to the most important component of this blog which is ‘YOU! How are you all doing? I hope you are enjoying the fall. Over here, it has really been an extended beautiful fall season with unseasonably warm temperatures for November and December. The jury is still about a white Christmas but being typically True North, we never lose hope. All my friends over in the warmer climate are all having a blast and I am green with envy! It’s just not fair!

Twenty days to Christmas and counting. We just finished putting up ‘my’ Christmas tree. Now that my boys are bigger, it has suddenly become ‘mom’s Christmas tree’!! Really boys! They now claim they help me put up ‘my’ Christmas tree! You know what, I don’t really care whose Christmas tree it is so long as we all have it up and running….and thank you boys!we did it.

My Style Conner.
Because of the unseasonably warm and beautiful Toronto weather this past week, I decided to Rock My Boy friend Jeans and it was an All Rust, Burgundy and Navy Affair! This pair of ‘ripped’ jeans is one of my favorites – It gives me that ‘boyish look’ because of the way it kind of hangs below the waist. Be careful though with low rise jeans because it may not necessarily enhance your figure. In fact it may do the opposite and push up the smallest amount of fat on your waistline – muffin look! Low rise is great if you have long legs or just a regular shape. If your torso is heavy and your legs short, this fashion piece is definitely not going to work for you. So, except you have a compact waistline like I do - that’s why I love my low rise - be careful with low rise jeans! Don’t forget low rise underwear because it looks incredibly tatty when your underwear shows through!

I wore a double sweater because it’s all about layers particularly when the weather is very mercurial and you can’t go wrong! The weather is like a lady’s opinion…….don’t argue with it. Hahaha!

My accessories are minimal, after all its jean day.
The saucy little hat atop my head, the lace up Bodell pumps, the oversize Tot bag and the Burberrys scarf casually hugging my neck as though saying – I have no cares or worries in this whole wide world - complete the fashion statement and turned that ‘Causal Friday’ into ‘Dress up Jean Day!
Thank you for your time and stay tuned for the Coming Event by the KV Bl

Hello my Darlings, this has been an amazing week I must say. I am still trying to finish up my Christmas decoration so that I can relax and get in the mood for Christmas. When it comes to Christmas decor, I am a little laid back, because once I put it up, the next thing it signals for me is shopping time. But you know what? I am not sure I really want to do much shopping this year.  I didn't shop a lot  yesterday BLACK FRIDAY too. I didn't want to get into all that craziness this year. I only bought a few things for the boys. I vowed not to go over board with shopping this holiday season and I will definitely stick to that...

I am still tuned into the fall season, but winter is round the corner and I am really not a big fan of the cold weather but still try to make the best of it. Fall fashion makes it better. The orange and yellow leaves dropping off the tress,  as though taking  some time out from the sun and their life long, never ending task  of procreation and photosynthesis is priceless. The beautiful rust and red  colors whisper ever so softy of the season going by and the promise of the one to come. Boy oh boy, winter is around the corner.

MY FAVOURITE CONNER

This week gone by, I was able to brave taking off my jacket during my photo shoot. The weather was very generous and I can't believe I was able to do that. Probably the last time I'll do that before good ol' winter reigns is all in!

It was sort of an all black affair for this post save for the gray jacket and the burberry's scarf. Black is always the seasons safe color and folks can't go wrong wearing black.
I really love how I can use this outfit as a dress as well as a skirt.........I am sure you have done it before with some of your outfits. If not give it a try. The dress is just about the correct mid calf length for the  season. I am showing my legs a bit but I have these ankle boots to keep my feet warm.

I have a special thing for mirror lens sunglasses because they just look so ooh la la! You can see I am wearing a lot of black so the sunglasses break the monotony and lend some excitement and color to the look. There's absolutely no doubt about the authenticity of the look you're seeing right now. Hahaha!

Did you notice my belt. It really compliments my waistline and creates a sleek look without too much of a fuss because my stomach is quiet flat! Something to keep on mind is that this style of belt won't do much for you without some natural sleekness to your waistline.

I love my burberry's so I tied that knot round my neck with the scarf  just to remind myself that burberry's is still the king of winter fashion. You must have a couple of these scarfs to truly get into winter fashion.

As always, your interest in this blog makes my world go round. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you for your time.
