F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S is the word and I hope you are all feeling it like I am. Welcome back to the last Saturday of October.
Some people celebrate Halloween while some look ahead to celebrate All Saints Day. For me, I celebrate the good life, being alive, loving and being loved in return because I. a.m. e.v.e.r.y w.o.m.a.n and I own it!!! How about you? With all my heart, I wish you all that you wish yourself and more.
Woow, I am having a blast and trying hard not to rub it in with my 'True North' fans stuck over there in the cold......'brrrrr'. Hahahah. I hear it's not that cold though. I am still vacationing, travelling to various Nigerian cities but trying to stay out of trouble hahaha and also stay out of the direct rays of the hot sun so I don't ruin my complexion. I am using a lot of sun screen mind you as the dangers of sunburn or melanoma are not that far fetched even for dark skin like mine.
Now to My Style Corner:
As I mentioned above I am enjoying being loved and pampered. One of my several birthday gifts from my better half is this absolutely gorgeous, eye catching, head turning Ellie Saab floral, black, flowing dress that hit the run way not too long ago. It is such a conversation piece that I was practically overwhelmed by the compliments it generated from all and sundry! If I say that, you better believe me because I can handle compliments but this was really generous. Bring it on guys! Hahahah! The colors of this outfit contrasted against the black background are so bright and vibrant without being gaudy or clashing. The length of the gown is full and demure while the off shoulder component is tantalizing, sexy and flirty, showing off my shoulders. The rule of thumb when wearing a revealing outfit is not to bare it all. You see how my upper part is bared but I compensated by covering up my lower half. That way you don't look tacky or under dressed.
To go with it I have the ever faithful signature Channel purse (black) to complete the fashion statement as always. I love the mirror sun Glasses and wear them a lot. This one stands out and goes wells with the ethnic scenery palm fronds and banana trees in the background. My jewelry is a very simple but unique gold necklace and bracelet. You know how I like to go easy on jewelry when the outfit is already very busy. This dress doesn't need a lot of help. It already did most of the work! Of course the chic look is not complete without those heels.
Turn every head when you walk inside that special occasion alone or with your better half. I am moving over a little for my better half in this post because he has been such a darling on this vacation trip. Let's shout out to our better halves, wishing them all the best. Just try this trick and remember......Kartia told you first.
