Doug Ford’s hydro plan won’t cut electricity rates, Andrea Horwath says

NDP Chief Andrea Horwath says a hydro plan introduced on Friday by Progressive Conservative Chief Doug Ford won’t cut back electricity charges. Horwath stated Ford has endorsed what she calls the Liberals’ disastrous hydro borrowing scheme, which is able to trigger payments to skyrocket by 70 per cent proper after the June election. Ford is promising to cut hydro payments by 12 per cent if he wins the election, saying it will be on high of a charge discount from the governing Liberals, whose plan he has repeatedly criticized.
