Story of Nxivm ‘sex cult’ could become a TV series
The story of the Nxivm intercourse cult — which allegedly branded ladies and compelled them into slavery — could also be coming to a TV close to you.
The manufacturing firm Annapurna Tv, which has produced series for Hulu and HBO, has gained rights to a 2017 New York Occasions exposé on the cult known as “Inside a Secretive Group The place Ladies Are Branded,” based on the Hollywood Reporter.
The corporate wish to adapt the report for a one-hour, fictionalized, scripted series, the Reporter stated.
“Smallville” TV actress Allison Mack has been accused of being one of the cult’s leaders and charged with sex-trafficking. She was launched on bond from Brooklyn federal court docket on Tuesday.
Mack allegedly helped recruit ladies into intercourse slavery for cult chief Keith Raniere.
