Roseanne Barr dropped from talent agency after racist tweets

Roseanne Barr was dropped from her talent agency, ICM Companions, following a sequence of racist, anti-Semitic tweets she posted on Tuesday. “We’re all tremendously distressed by the disgraceful and unacceptable tweet from Roseanne Barr this morning,” the agency’s management mentioned in an inner memo, Deadline reported. “What she wrote is antithetical to our core values, each as people and as an agency. Consequently, we’ve got notified her that we’ll not characterize her. Efficient instantly, Roseanne Barr is not a shopper.” Barr, 65, in contrast former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape on Twitter Tuesday, which sparked outrage and led many to plead with ABC to behave.  The community introduced the sequence — which was ABC’s highest-rated and most-watched sequence — was canceled hours later. “Roseanne’s Twitter assertion is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we’ve got determined to cancel her present,” ABC Leisure president Channing Dungey mentioned in a press release. “Roseanne” initially aired from 1988 to 1997 however was introduced again in March to rave critiques and scores. Barr reprised her function as brash matriarch Roseanne Conner, an unabashed Trump supporter who’s at political odds with the remainder of her household.
