Watch the First Full-Length Trailer for Disney’s Live-Action ‘Lion King’

Disney launched the first full-length trailer for the live-action remake of The Lion Kingon Wednesday. The movie, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Donald Glover as Simba; Beyoncé as Nala; and James Earl Jones, who performed Mufasa in the unique 1994 animated movie. The clip begins with Scar, voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor, warning younger Simba, “Life’s not truthful, is it my little pal? Whereas some are born to feast, others spend their lives in the darkish. Begging for scraps.” It ends with traditional characters Pumbaa and Timon briefly singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”    The Lion King will likely be launched on July 19.
