Tom Hanks’ Mister Rogers biopic set to premiere this fall

The Fred Rogers drama “You Are My Buddy” starring Tom Hanks because the beloved tv host is coming to theaters in late 2019. Sony Photos stated Wednesday that the movie might be launched on Oct. 18, 2019. The story is impressed by the real-life friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. Marielle Heller, who made the well-reviewed coming-of-age drama “Diary of a Teenage Woman,” is directing the movie. This 12 months marks the 50th anniversary of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” inspiring a PBS particular, a postage stamp and a feature-length documentary, “Gained’t You Be My Neighbor,” which hits theaters on June 8.
